Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
