In a unexpected partnership that defies usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
